BAR ENDS: Way back in MTB History ‘Bar Ends’ could be found on every MTB. With flat (straight) handlebars they provide extra leverage, which makes it easier to climb hills. They also enable a few more hand positions which helps to relieve pressure on palms and forearms. Hence increasing both comfort and performance.
With the advent of wider ‘Riser Bars’ with more leverage the popularity of these accessories receded, however a recent trend back to 'flat handlebars' for the performance sports rider has meant bar ends are back in fashion and they are hot cookies again.
The latest generation are available in carbon as well as super light aluminium.
Increasingly they are also found on the latest generation of 'Flat-Bar Road bikes' as well as the traditional MTB
