SHIPPING & DELIVERIES

Alf Jones Cycles uses a variety of postal services and couriers to deliver your orders dependent mainly on product size and weight, including Royal Mail,  TNT, and Fedex.

Dispatch time for new bikes purchased is currently 2-4 working day (Mon-Fri) leadtime from ordering. Please keep this in mind during the purchasing process and we will keep you updated as the bike becomes available to ship. We will always contact you directly prior shipping to arrange a delivery date. Please contact us directly for any urgent requirements.

Please check prior if goods are purchased from in-store (3-5 days) or warehouse stock (7-10 day) for delivery timeline.

Bicycle Shipping and Assembly

Bikes shipped by Alf's via mail order may not arrive fully assembled, as they must be partially disassembled to fit into a cycle box. All full-size bikes are fully assembled and inspected prior to dispatch, then partially dismantled for packaging.

Upon delivery, some assembly will be required—typically involving the pedals, front wheel, seat post, handlebars, and stem. The gears are pre-set before shipping; however, they may become misaligned during transit. If realignment is necessary, we recommend having it done by a qualified bicycle mechanic.

Please be aware that Alf Jones Cycles cannot reimburse any costs associated with bike setup or adjustments after delivery.

• Delivered fully assembled and tailored to your personal setup preferences via Cycling Logistics.
• Highly recommended for electric bikes or any bike requiring suspension setup.

Standard Delivery (Non-Bike Orders Under £50.01)

• Shipped via Royal Mail Tracked 48hr Service.

All Goods Purchased are available on our Click & Collect service from our store in Gresford, Wrexham

Recycled Packaging

Whenever possible, bikes and other products will be repackaged in their original boxes. However, we may occasionally use recycled or alternative packaging—for example, if the original box is too small to accommodate a partially assembled bike. As a result, the packaging may not accurately reflect the contents inside.

Important: Please check the contents of the box carefully before returning any items.

Terms & Conditions

We aim to get your orders to you as quickly as we can, but sometimes there can be delays. Some important points to note are:

• We currently only accept orders originating from and for delivery to UK addresses.
• Any dates quoted by Alf Jones Cycles for delivery of a product are approximate only and we cannot be held liable for any costs incurred if delivery is delayed.
• Please be aware that Royal Mail First Class postal service can take up to 7 days. This is under the terms of Royal Mail and is out of our control.
• 3rd Party couriers can deliver direct delivery orders between the hours of 7am and 9pm.
• Delivery of an order shall be completed when we deliver the Goods to the delivery address given in the order and the Goods will be your responsibility from the time of delivery.
• If our courier is unable to deliver the Goods, they will either attempt to deliver to a neighbour, attempt to redeliver the following day, leave a card for you to rearrange a suitable time for re-delivery or leave the parcel at your local Post Office for you to collect.
• Alf Jones Cycles shall have no liability for any delay in delivery of the Goods, or failure to deliver the Goods, where the delay or failure is caused either by an event outside our control or your failure to provide us with adequate delivery instructions or any other instructions that are relevant.
• If we miss our estimated delivery deadline for your order or, in the absence of any estimate being given, we have not delivered the Goods within 30 days after the dispatch confirmation, you reserve the right to cancel your order and receive a full refund from Alf Jones Cycles via the original purchase payment method.
