Built for the Long Road Ahead

Cannondale’s new Synapse frame is lighter, more compliant, and more capable than ever. The updated carbon layup offers increased comfort across rough roads, while revised geometry delivers a confident, upright riding position—ideal for long days in the saddle.
Highlights include:
- Aerodynamically optimised frame tubing
- Clearance for up to 35mm tyres for mixed terrain flexibility
- New internal ‘StashPort’ frame storage to carry essentials securely
- Fender mounts for year-round riding
It’s a bike built for real-world roads and real-world riders.
Optional SmartSense System
For 2025, SmartSense is available as an optional upgrade—giving riders the freedom to choose their ideal setup.
What is SmartSense?
- Integrated front and rear lights
- Rear-facing radar system
- Single-battery power for all components
It’s a smart, safety-enhancing add-on designed for road visibility and awareness—but if you prefer a simpler, lighter setup, you can opt for Synapse models without SmartSense.
This flexibility means there’s a Synapse for every rider—whether you prioritize high-tech features or clean simplicity.
Lachlan Morton's Epic Lap of Australia on the Synapse
In September 2024, professional cyclist Lachlan Morton undertook an extraordinary challenge: riding a full lap around Australia. Covering 14,210 kilometers in just 30 days, 9 hours, and 59 minutes, Morton set a new record for the fastest known time (FKT) for circumnavigating the country .
Starting and finishing in his hometown of Port Macquarie, Morton averaged over 450 kilometers per day, often riding through the night to avoid the intense Australian heat and traffic. His journey wasn't just a personal feat; it was also a mission to raise funds for the Indigenous Literacy Foundation, amassing over $127,000 AUD to support children's education in remote communities .
Morton's choice of bike for this grueling endeavor? The Cannondale Synapse. Its endurance-focused design, comfort, and reliability made it the perfect companion for such a demanding ride.

Endurance Versatility Meets Race-Inspired Performance
The new Synapse draws inspiration from Cannondale’s race-proven SuperSix EVO but tunes the ride for comfort and control.
It excels in:
- Long-distance sportives
- Weekend club rides
- Commuting or all-season training
- Light gravel or rough tarmac detours
With its responsive feel and endurance geometry, the Synapse strikes an ideal balance between speed and stability.
