The Mallet Speedlace, designed to be used with Mallet DH pedals, is ideal for tackling the trails.Featuring an extra 5mm length track for a secure cleat position and added control on aggressive trails. The upper of the shoe is equipped with Speedlace and a strap for quick and secure adjustment. There is also a lace pocket at the top of the tongue to safely store your laces and maintain a clean look.To ensure breathability, the shoe has ventilated windows with perforated mesh material. The padded tongue provides protection, while the TPU reinforced areas offer durability and resistance against abrasion. Additionally, the shoe features heel dots for superior grip and heel hold, as well as hidden eyelets for a sleek design.The outsole of the Mallet Speedlace is Match Box optimized, suitable for any MTB pedal. The race zone cleat placement enhances control and stability, while the ramp provides easy clip-in/clio-out and mud clearance. The shoe comes pre-installed with crankbrothers match shim and cleat, making it ready to ride once adjusted and tightened. It can also be used with any brand of SPD cleat by removing the grey match shim and setting up directly in the match box.The Mallet Speedlace is equipped with an MC1 mid-friction compound, allowing for easy exit from the pedal. The directional angled and spaced toe/heel lugs provide traction while hiking, and the ramped toe ensures walkability. The stiff shank enhances power transfer during pedaling, while the cushioned EVA midsole absorbs shock.When it comes to sizing, the shoes use a USA last. So, choose your size based on your regular UK shoe sizing. The range runs true to size, so there is no need to size up. The Mallet Speedlace is available in sizes 4 to 13, with half sizes between 5.5 and 11.5.
