Alf Jones Cycles Returns Policy

In the event that you change your mind about your purchase, or if it is unsuitable due to fit, size, colour etc. we are happy to exchange, credit or refund any item returned to us in store in an unused, re-sellable condition (including packaging and tags where applicable) with a valid receipt within 30 days, all refunds made via the same means as the original purchase.
(**excluded items are bikes, food and underwear products, special ordered items**)

You can also return items via post if necessary, we advise that you choose ‘signed for or recorded’ postage when returning goods to us, (keep a copy of your postage receipt/tracking number), and you will be liable to cover the postage costs to us (and return postage to you if applicable). Once the returned item is received we can then exchange, credit or refund over the phone. If posting your item to us then please include an email/returns form and copy of your receipt with your contact details and return to the address below:

For ‘in-store’ and ‘over-the-phone’ debit/credit card refunds, the card and the cardholder must be present. Otherwise the purchase will be refunded onto the customer’s Alf Jones Cycles Ltd account as in-store credit. If you do not have a receipt, we may, at our discretion credit or exchange at the current sale price, onto the customer’s Alf Jones Cycles Ltd account as in-store credit.

Mail Order/Websale Returns

Any item purchased from our website can be returned to us in the event that you change your mind about your purchase, or if it is unsuitable due to fit, size, colour etc. We are happy to exchange, credit or refund any web-purchased item returned to us in store or by post in an unused, re-sellable condition (including packaging and tags where applicable) with a valid receipt within 30 days, all refunds made via the same means as the original purchase..

BIKE/BULKY ITEM RETURNS

If you wish to return your bike or an over-sized/bulky item to us that Royal Mail will not carry due to its size and/or weight, please keep it in the box it arrived in and call us on 01978 854300 to discuss and we will arrange a collection. This will be at a subsidised rate (amount depends on item and location) to you as arranging shipping for high value items yourself is often very expensive.

Please note the following:

  • If we have sent you the incorrect bicycle, we will cover the cost of collection and delivery of the correct model
  • If we have delivered the bicycle you ordered, but upon inspection you decide it is not the bike for you, we will charge you £25.00 for the collection
  • Please do not ride the bike as a full refund cannot be given if the bike has been used in any way.

We are pleased to offer this policy in addition to your statutory rights and this does not restrict your rights to return faulty items.

As a consumer legally you reserve the right to cancel your order up to 14 days after your order has been delivered.

Warranty/Faulty Item Returns

In the case of returning a faulty item, please refer to the manufacturer’s brochure or website for comprehensive details in the first instance, as each manufacturer has their own warranty policy/procedure/period. If your faulty item was initially purchased from Alf Jones Cycles then please get in touch, return it to us with your proof of purchase and we can deal with the manufacturer on your behalf to initiate a warranty or repair claim (if out of the warranty period). Postage charges on faulty/warranty items are at our and the suppliers’ discretion.

If your faulty item wasn’t initially purchased from Alf Jones Cycles, but it is a product from one of our current brands, we can still deal with it on your behalf but please be aware there will be charges (repair and postage) incurred at your cost.

Warranty claims are only applicable to the original purchaser of the item. Unfortunately, if your faulty item was purchased second-hand you do not have grounds for a warranty claim, as you are not the original owner.
